Social websites

Hi readers!

As it is obvious, we live in a technologically advanced world where we all live surrounded by computers, mobile phones, tablets... that we rarely get bored with. But, are we conscious about the danger of this technology? I mean, not everything about this applications are beneficial for us. If you don't use properly these pages, in a future may affect you in a negative way.

Nowadays, almost everybody use at least one of this sites. The most popular ones are Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter, Ask, Facebook, Tuenti, Tumblr, etc. Usually, teenagers use these social websites to share their favourite pictures and videos, to write or read things they are interested in, to play online, etc. But as I have said, not all the things regarding to technology are good for us.

To start, I would like to speak to you about the disadvantages of using those sites. One of the problems of having a public account is that anyone can see your social site and use your private information to create a fake account. In addition, when you are chating with someone you don't really know if this person is who says he is, or if he is a liar who have manipulate the account. And last but not least, is the danger of suffering "ciberbullying". This type of bullying is becoming more and more common, so please, be careful and if someone threat you, contact with the police.

Nevertheless, not everything about social websites is bad, because then, they wouldn't exist. For me, the most beneficial advantage is that you can meet people from other places and know more about their culture. Even more, you can make new friends, and gossip other people's things. Using this applications may be a way to entretain yourself, seen funny videos, playing online, speaking to other people, etc. Of course, not all the websites are the same so they don't give you the possibility to do the same things. For example, in Twitter you can show everyone what are you doing at the moment or get information about what is happening all around the world, share your pictures and videos in Instagram, or chat with one or more people in Whatsapp.

Another point we must have in mind is that most of the teenagers, add anyone to their "friend" list, and this result in a big problem. As I have said, when you are chating with someone normaly you can't see his face, so that's why you could be speaking to a stranger.

Of course, if you private your account the chance of this problem decrease. There are many different ways of security, and you can choose the privacy you like most. The most important one is to have a difficult password so that people can't enter in your account. Moreover, you can report or block people you don't want to be followed by or not accept unknown people. If you want to change your account setting, but you don't know how to do it, click here.

Two of the things that I would purpose to the site owners would be knowing who visits you and how many times and to block automatically offensive or aggressive messages.

Thanks for your attention.

See you soon!

Children situation around the world

Hi readers!

Today, I have decided to write about children's situation all over the Earth, but specially in the third world. In my personal opinion, this is a topic that everyone speaks about, although very few people know really how hard their lifes are.

Firstly, it must be said that the situation of African children isn't the same as ours. The majority of them, have serious problems to get food or even something to drink. That is the reason why people, mostly women,  have to walk for kilometres with something similar to a bucket on their heads. As I have said, African children haven't got enough to eat and drink. One of the consequences of this is malnutrition. Malnutrition causes other problems, like illnesses and in the worst case the death. As we can read in the World Health Organization, an estimated 10.6 million under-five children die each year, 4.6 million of whom die in African Regions. If you want to read more,  click here  After saying all this, I have to mention that as it is obvious, their life is harder than ours so we must realise the privileges we have. And of course, if everybody helps a little bit, children's situation will improve.

See you soon!
